CA. Kamala Chockalingam, Network partner of Paul & Aravind Chartered Accountants heads the Corporate Compliance Division of the firm. Based out of Bangalore, she handles an array of services in addition to Corporate Compliance – Direct Taxation Advisory and Compliance Assistance, Indirect Taxation Advisory and Compliance Assistance and Audit. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Having completed her schooling from Stanes Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore, she pursued her dream of Chartered Accountancy immediately thereafter. She has keen interest on technical interpretation of legal provisions. Having developed a special interest on GST and Indirect Taxes, she has mastered herself under Goods and Services Tax both on the legal and practical aspects.

During her articleship days, she excelled in Corporate Compliance and Direct Taxation – Incorporation of Companies, Corporate Compliance and Advisory Services, Advisory on Capital and Debt structuring, Finalisation of Income Tax return, Assessments & appeals, TDS compliance.

After her qualification as a Chartered Accountant, she served Deloitte Haskins and Sells as Assistant Manager – Indirect Taxes for a period spanning 2.5 years till January 2018 and pioneered as lead contributor during the period of GST Implementation, GST Training and GST Compliance Management. She has also been a contributor to a leading publication on GST – “A complete perspective by Deloitte published by CCH”. She is also a skilled GST Trainer and has handled Vendor Training and other training sessions under GST. In addition to sessions on GST, she has handled various National Level trainings on different perspectives of Service Tax & Central Excise. She has lead teams for transitioning of big corporate entities from Old Indirect Tax Laws into GST Regime. On the Customs front, she has effectively handled the team at Deloitte for obtaining Duty Drawback on Imports for a leading Car Manufacturing Company.

She is currently network partner of Paul & Aravind Chartered Accountants handling clients in and around Bangalore.
